Biography

Chinemerem is the Head of Credit and Risk at ALERT Microfinance Bank Limited. He leads the Enterprise Risk Management team while providing support to Operation and Business units. Prior to joining ALERT

he was the Head, Internal Audit and Compliance, of Shalom Microfinance Bank Lagos. He started his Microfinance career with Microcred Microfinance Bank Limited now, Baobab Microfinance Bank Limited, a subsidiary of Baobab Group as a Back Officer and rose to position of Senior Internal Audit Officer. He was instrumental in building of a strong Internal Audit team before he joined Shalom Microfinance Bank Limited, Lagos.

Chinemerem has built over 7 years of extensive experience in Operation management, Credit Administration, Internal Audit, Compliance / Internal control and Risk management from diverse Microfinance Banks

Chinemerem holds a bachelor’s degree in Financial Management; Professional Diploma in Education and a Master of Banking & Finance degree from Federal University of Technology, Owerri; Federal College of Education, Zaria and Kaduna State University, Kaduna respectively. He is Microfinance Certified member (MCIB) of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and currently a student member Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
