Biography

Babatunde is the Head of Business Development at Alert Microfinance Bank Limited. He leads the Business unit of the Bank in the area of New Product Creation and Business Generation. Prior to joining ALERT, he was the Head Business Manager of NNEW Women Microfinance Bank Limited. He started his career with ASHA Microfinance Bank Limited as a loan officer and rose to the position of an Area manager. He was part of the pioneer team who developed the business generation unit and outreach maximization of ASHA MFB. He was also part of the pioneer team that built the Business Operations of International Centre for Microfinance and Social Enterprise (ICMSE) in Port Harcourt, Rivers state as the Regional Manager on core SME Financing and Renewable Energy Program. Babatunde has built over 12 years of extensive experience in product development, customer acquisition, business generation and portfolio management from diverse Microfinance Banks. Babatunde holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting Education, National Certificate in Education (NCE) in sociology from Lagos state university, Lagos state and Tai Solarin University of Education, Ogun state respectively. He is a Microfinance Certified Member (MCIB) of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management (CILRM).

He is currently the acting Head of Credit with ALERT Microfinance Bank Ltd.
